(CONTRACT) Design Engineer - Interiors

Description:
- You will hold a Bachelor of Science Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent with two (2) years relevant experience or will have a minimum of eight (8) years of practical mechanical design experience in aviation.
- Per US ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) Requirements, must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder).
- You are proficient creating mechanical drawings using AutoCad or CATIA.
- You will have a working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA).
- You will be proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point).
- You must be a self-starter and able to handle multiple initiatives effectively.
- You must exhibit excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- You should be an organized individual, able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments and organizations with a general good attitude and disposition.
- Prepare all necessary documents to support the interior and structural modification of the aircraft such as detail, assembly and installation drawings, specification documents and substantiation reports.
• Coordinate with outside suppliers, internal departments and regulatory agencies regarding the design, installation, integration, and certification of new interior components to support floorplan modifications.
• Research specification for component selection. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure specifications are met.
• Support statement of work creation and bids for new customer requests.
• Assist service center personnel in investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build/modification and test issues and create deviation drawings as required.
