PDS Tech Commercial, Inc. is seeking candidates for a Composite Inspector in Mariana, California.
 
Job Title: Composite Inspector
Job Type: Full time; contract (6+ months)
Location: Mariana, CA 93933
Schedule:  Monday to Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $26.00-$32.00 per hour


Job Description 
Composites Inspector:
Perform incoming, in-process and final inspection of composite materials and parts.

Responsibilities:
• Perform incoming inspection on supplied composite material
• Perform in-process inspection during the layup process for composite material
• Perform final inspection on completed composite parts
• Perform final inspection on the completed Work Order package
Required:
• A high-school diploma or GED and minimum of 2 year's experience in composite inspection or fabrication and mechanical inspection
• Must know basic quality terms, definitions and concepts
• Must understand types of measurement, measurement terminology and the different types of measurement scales
• Must know how to measure using hand tools such as scales, calipers, and micrometers
• Must be able to identify/recognize inspection errors/nonconformances and document nonconformance
• Must have basic calibration knowledge
• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and know definitions of critical and key characteristics
• Understand traceability (product, material and calibration)
• Knowledge of basic mathematical operations and perform measurement conversions; be able to solve for x; add and subtract degrees, minutes, and seconds
• Ability to work in a team environment

Desired:
• 2+ years of on-the-job aerospace experience
• General knowledge of ASME Y14.5M, working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and understanding of the x, y, z coordinate system

Pay Details: $26.00 to $32.00 per hour
